What DwellReady is
DwellReady is an educational home walkthrough and planning tool. You move through your home room by room, answer plain-language questions about what you can see, and get an organized picture of what might deserve attention — now or in the years ahead.
It is not a licensed home inspection, and it can't see behind walls, under floors, or inside systems. It's a structured way to look at your home with fresh eyes and plan ahead.
How the assessment works
The walkthrough runs on a versioned question set that we review and improve over time. When you finish, a structured, deterministic process turns your answers into findings — the same answers always produce the same suggestions. Nothing is invented on the spot, and no AI guesses at what it can't know.
Every question offers a "Not sure" path wherever it makes sense. A "Not sure" answer never becomes a confirmed hazard — it becomes a suggestion to verify, usually with a simple way to check.
Every finding shows exactly why it appeared: the questions you answered and the answers you gave. Nothing shows up without a reason you can review yourself.
The methodology itself is versioned. When you finish a walkthrough, your findings reflect the exact question set and rules that produced them — so a completed assessment stays reproducible even as we keep improving the guidance.
Where the guidance comes from
Suggestions are tied to public safety and housing guidance — for example from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the National Fire Protection Association, and other government and standards organizations. Each finding links to the source it's based on so you can read the guidance yourself.
These are references, not endorsements. DwellReady is not affiliated with, certified by, or endorsed by any of these organizations.
What DwellReady is not
It is not a certification that your home is safe, and it does not diagnose medical conditions or predict anyone's health. Findings are things to consider — not verdicts.
When something needs a professional — an electrician, a plumber, a qualified inspector — the walkthrough says so. Have a qualified professional evaluate anything you're unsure about before making changes.
Your privacy
Your homes, answers, photos, measurements, findings, and reports stay private to your account. Reports are only generated when you ask, and stored files are shared only through short-lived, private links.
