Privacy Policy

Overview
DwellReady helps families assess their homes and plan improvements. This policy explains, in plain language, what information DwellReady handles and the choices you have.
Information you provide
Account information. When you create an account, we store your name and email address so you can sign in and receive service communications.
Home and property information. The details you enter about your homes — such as the home type, location, and features you tell us about — so your walkthroughs fit your home.
Walkthrough answers and uploaded media. Your assessment answers, notes, measurements, and any photos you attach. All of it is private by default and visible only to you within your account.
Support requests. If you contact support, we keep the category, subject, and description you send, plus the email on your account so we can respond.
Payment processing
Purchases are processed securely through Stripe, our payment processor. DwellReady does not store your card number. Stripe handles the payment details and sends you a receipt for your purchase.
Usage information
We use basic analytics to understand how the app is used — for example which screens are visited and where flows are completed — so we can improve the product. We do not use your evidence photos or your notes for analytics.
How we use information
We use your information to provide the service: storing your home records, generating your reports, processing purchases, responding to support requests, and keeping your account secure. We do not sell your personal information.
Storage and security
Your records are stored with our hosting provider and are associated with your account. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, and we encourage you to keep your own copies of anything that matters to you — the report export feature exists for exactly that.
Sharing and service providers
We share information only as needed to run the service: with Stripe for payment processing, with our hosting provider for storing your records, and with analytics providers for aggregate usage data. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not create public links to your evidence.
Your choices
You can delete a home you haven't started a walkthrough on, remove items from your Action Plan, or delete your account and all of your records, at any time from Account → Privacy & Data. Deleting your account removes your records from the application; basic payment records may remain with Stripe for accounting purposes, in line with Stripe's own policies.
Reports you generate are private to your account unless you choose to download or share them.
Media file retention (important)
When you delete a record, a home, or your account, DwellReady permanently removes the associated records from your account — the items no longer appear anywhere in the app and cannot be recovered through the application.
The underlying uploaded files (photos, videos, documents) are stored with our cloud storage provider. Our current storage provider does not expose a way for the application to physically erase individual stored files, so copies of deleted files may persist in that storage and remain accessible to anyone who already saved the direct file link. We do not publish or share those links, and they are not reachable through your account after deletion, but we want you to know the files are not guaranteed to be irrecoverable.
If having a file truly erased matters to you, the most reliable choice is not to upload it in the first place, or to remove it promptly. We're working with our platform provider on true file-level erasure, and we'll update this section if it becomes available.
Children's privacy
DwellReady is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Policy updates
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
